Michele Dalla Fontana, PhD

Dr. Michele Dalla Fontana is a Postdoc researcher at the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development. He has expertise in environmental governance, climate change adaptation, urban sustainability and the water-energy-food nexus. His current research focuses on WEF nexus governance and social justice in South Africa.

Michele received his PhD from IUAV University of Venice on the topic of the water-energy-food nexus governance at the urban level, with his main fieldwork conducted in the Netherlands and Brazil. Prior to joining the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development, Michele worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of São Paulo (Brazil) from 2019 to 2021, focusing his research on the WEF nexus and transdisciplinary approaches.
